After shopping around for a while for both used and new car options and visiting multiple dealerships; over 8+ dealerships doing test drives and working specifically with sales agents, getting their sales cards, negotiating best prices and performing & receiving follow up phone calls on both new and used cars. Out of all the dealership experiences I had, Tyler Gamble stood out as an amazingly authentic and helpful sales associate that I would buy from again and again. Quinton Tibbott and Kevin Knafel were amazing sales managers in the process as well. I felt extremely well heard for what I was looking for, and they left me excited to have made the decision to purchase with them, and trusting them with my car in the future. I could speak negatively about some of the specific bad experiences I had at other dealerships, but I want to stress, this dealership did not a stand out to me just because the absence of those negative experiences, but because the unique personable positive experiences I had here. I came in specifically requesting the deal that was listed on the hyundaiusa.com website. It was that deal that made me interested in a new car and not a used car. While I am going to refrain from diving into all of the details of the negative experiences I had with the hyundai dealership on the Northside while trying to get the same deal. When I worked with Tyler, I test drove the car, I stated I wanted the deal that was listed on hyundaiusa.com as available until 07JUL2025, and him and the managers had it drafted correctly the very first time with in 5 minutes. On the Northside, I went back and forth over 5-6 times for over an hour with sales managers to get anything close to the posted deal and I left without them even getting to the posted deal. Tyler and the managers had it right the first time, 5 minutes after getting back from the test drive and without knowing the negative experience I had with hyundai on the Northside. That type of clarity, and treatment builds trust for the future relationship I'm going to have with the dealership in future maintenance of my new car. This is a place I feel I could send my 80 year old mother to buy a car, without any concern of them trying to falsely mark up costs. I know the team that I listed will treat her as if it were their own mother. I will buy from this specific dealership over and over again provided it stays with the exceptional leadership and team that they have developed. This was truely a uniquely positive experience in purchasing an automobile. I can't speak highly enough of the team I interacted with.
Courtney was incredibly helpful when I called to get an estimate for a multipoint inspection. She had all the information I needed and then some; she was genuine and helped me to understand the details of the inspection and health of my vehicle. I would highly recommend this location purely based on the very human experience I had there, that is so uncommon in business these days.

Thanks to Kevin and especially Darla, buying my car went extremely smooth, particularly given it was an out-of-state purchase. Darla was friendly and adept, staying in regular communication with me and answering all of my questions. After the credit check, Kevin got me an out-the-door price on the car the same day, something three other dealerships failed to do after weeks of negotiations. On the day of receipt, I drove to pick-up the car and was given what I felt was red carpet service; Darla gave me an orientation drive in the new car, setup BlueLink for me, and explained the all of the features. Aside from a printer snafu, the financing process was efficient, transparent, with zero pressure. By the time I made my 2 hour drive home, I was already familiar with the car and well satisfied with the entire process. Darla even answered some questions the following week. From start to finish, I can definitely recommend the team at Ray Skillman Southside Hyundai.
