This monster has 760 horsepower under the hood, featuring a dual-clutch transmission with launch control and performance aerodynamics, it is best you only race where it is permitted. Protected with the race-bred chassis and setting atop Ford Performance-spec Michelin Pilot tires. With this much speed and power, you need just as powerful brakes, the GT 500 comes equipped with massive Brembo brakes both in the front and the rear.
The new functional aerodynamic design, inspired by fighter jets, enhances performance and looks. A new front fascia, hood, and fenders accommodate the significant power increase of the 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. Angular grille openings increase cooling airflow by 50 percent. A hood with a massive 31 x 28-inch louvered vent totaling 6.03 square feet quickly extracts air for reduced front downforce and track-capable thermal management.
A new splitter up front and below, new belly pan and reverse wing with side splitters help to channel air in and around the car for track-capable thermal management and reduced lift at high speeds with minimal drag penalty.
To increase your rear aerodynamics a performance decklid spoiler comes standard. You can upgrade to a swing spoiler with the Handling package or a carbon fiber track wing with the Carbon Fiber Track Package. The new rear diffuser with updated composite materials provides aerodynamic strength as well.
